Children come to the Nutrition Center from the surrounding village 3 days a week to be fed a hot meal cooked by our nutrition staff. An on-site well provides clean drinking water, and seating and shade are provided under the pavilion. The children then hear a message from God's Word and join in a worship service.
A new local primary school has been started for pre-school through 2nd grade. Previously, the nearest school was miles away, forcing young children to walk the whole distance in the heat. Not only does this school fill a practical need, but allows children to learn through a Christ-centered lens, led by our staff educators.
Many adults in the community were raised without the opportunity to learn how to read. Hosted at the local church, adults can join a program and learn how to read God's Word, empowering so many aspects of their lives.
A soccer-based outreach ministry was started to reach children in the village; giving some common ground for believers and non-believers to come together, and during breaks the Gospel is preached to all in attendance.
